There are some interesting “fintech problem statements” in emerging regions like SE Asia and Africa.

But, it’s still TBD how many venture-scale companies will be created because it’s unclear how much “economic rent” can be extracted from populations that have limited earning power.

If Founders design their models to make money at low levels of scale AND they can serve major segments within their respective regions then it’s possible that giant outcomes will be seen soon.
