Risk/Return Tradeoff
Every Founder has to ask: “How much can I learn for how much money and how quickly?”
If there are only bad answers to this question then it will require a deep-pocketed VC with conviction or VC is the wrong capital source.
Capitalizing a company to get 80% of the way to Mars is silly.
And in many cases, the less efficient the learning loop the more of the business capital is going to need to own to make the risk/return tradeoff work.
No easy answers, but just because a Founder wants to build something doesn’t mean that it’s easily fundable.
